the concept
My work explores memory as a trace. That which remains despite absence and the passage of time. I construct visual metaphors about how memories are formed and how they fade away.
Technique
I use textile art as my primary language. By layering translucent fabrics, veils, and gauzes, I manipulate colour and form. In my work, the act of sewing fabrics together is a conscious attempt to preserve, connect, and give permanence to the fragmented.
Intention
I seek to create pieces that fuse the visible and the invisible. That which remains and shapes our identity.
My ultimate intention is to invite the viewer to pause and introspect on the nature of their own perception and memory.
